Specifying the DIR library

When auditing the DBD library, Database Integrity can access the library containing the DIRs that were generated from the DBDs in the input DBD library.

If you provide the DIR library, Database Integrity tells you whether a DIR has been generated for the database, and if it has been, the generation date, the IMS release, the DL/I organization and OS access method, and other pertinent information. You can specify the data set name of the DIR library with one of the following methods:

  • Code the DIRLIB DD statement in the JCL.
  • Code the DIRLIB keyword on the DBDAUDIT control statement.

If you do not specify the name of the DIRLIB library in the JCL or on the DBDAUDIT control statement, Database Integrity bypasses the generation of the DIRLIB field on the DBD Audit report.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
