Special function keys on the DBD Map panel


You can use the following special function keys on the DBD Map panel:

F2

Map

If the cursor is on the Command line and one or more objects are selected, press F2 to redisplay the Map report showing only the selected segments and their parent segments.

If the cursor is on the Command line and the DBD Map panel is displaying objects that you have selected with the SELECT command (F14), enter the MAP command to redisplay the DBD Map with all segments.

If the cursor is within a related DBD name and you press F2, Database Integrity displays the DBD Map panel mapping the related DBD.

F4

Decode

Disassemble (obtain the source code) the selected object. Place the cursor on the displayed name of any logically related DBD name or on the Command line. Press F4. Database Integrity disassembles the object as described in Disassembling-control-blocks-using-BMC-AMI-Database-Integrity-for-IMS.

F5

Compare

Compare the selected object with another object. Place the cursor on the displayed name of any logically related DBD name or on the Command line. Press F5. Database Integrity initiates the comparison process as described in Comparing-control-blocks-using-BMC-AMI-Database-Integrity-for-IMS.

F6

Report

Produce the control block report for the selected object. Place the cursor on the displayed name of any logically related DBD name or on the Command line. Press F6. Database Integrity generates the report as described in Reporting-on-control-blocks-using-BMC-AMI-Database-Integrity-for-IMS.

F13

OLprint

Print all of the information obtained by the action (not just the information currently displayed on the screen). Database Integrity displays the Online Print panel to request more information and confirm the print task as described in Online-Print-panel.

F14

Select

Select the object for further processing:

Place the cursor on the name of the segment you want to select. Press F14. Database Integrity highlights the segment and marks it as selected. You can use this command in combination with the PSBGEN or MAP command to define a restructured map of the selected segments.

F15

PSBgen

Initiate the process to generate a PSB to access the selected segments. The panel must be displaying the structure for which you want to generate a PSB (press F2 to map the selected segments). Database Integrity displays the PSB Generation Entry panel as described in PSB-Generation-Entry-panel. This function is not available if the input control block is an ACB.

F18

Restart

Mark the current panel as the first in the series.
