Sharing a CIS server with multiple IMS products

If you have installed multiple IMS products you can use one CIS server for all the products.

If you are installing both IMS and DB2 products on the same UIM server, see the instructions in Sharing-a-CIS-server-with-DB2-and-IMS-products.

For IMS products to work together and share a CIS server, ensure that the CPC started task name has been created with a suffix of ADV. For example, use the name CPCxADV.

Warning

Note

If you need to change the started task name, you must update the CPCxCMDS to issue CPC START ADV instead of CPC START IPT that was originally created during IPT customization.
