Helix Control-M Automation API CLI End of Support on Specific Linux Platforms

Version: December 2023 update (9.0.21.280)

March 28, 2022: BMC is alerting you to a change in support.

BMC is alerting you to a change in support in accordance with BMC Software Product Support Policy.

To keep up with security updates, Node.js must be updated to Node.js v18. Helix Control-M Automation API Command Line Interface (CLI) will not be available on the following platforms as they do not support a secure version of Node.js:

  • Amazon Linux 2
  • SUSE Linux 12
  • Red Hat 7
  • Oracle Linux 7
  • CentOS 7

From December 2023 update (9.0.21.280), you cannot use Helix Control-M Automation API CLI on Helix Control-M/Agent installed on Amazon Linux 2, SUSE Linux 12, Red Hat 7, Oracle Linux 7, and CentOS 7.

If you are using Helix Control-M Automation API Command Line Interface (CLI) on Amazon Linux 2, SUSE Linux 12, Red Hat 7, Oracle Linux 7, and CentOS 7, BMC recommends that you move to a different operating system to continue to use Helix Control-M Automation API CLI for automation purposes.
