Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway PAM2B.9.0.21.002

BMC Software is releasing patch PAM2B.9.0.21.002  to correct several problems in version 9.0.21.000 of Control-M MFT Enterprise.

Note

You must have Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway version 9.0.21.000 before you install the patch.

Installing the Patch on UNIX

This procedure describes how to install PAM2B.9.0.21.002 on UNIX.

Before You Begin

  • Obtain the installation package via EPD, as described in Obtaining Control-M Installation Files.
  • Ensure that your Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway version is 9.0.21.000 or higher.
  • If you are installing the patch on Red-Hat 8 and Oracle Linux 8, make sure you have libnsl.so.1 installed prior to patch installation. For more information, see KA 000404923.

Begin

  1. Log in to the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway user account.
  2. Stop the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/shut-mft-proxy.sh
  3. Stop the Control-M MFT forward proxy, if running, by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/stop-forward-proxy.sh
  4. Navigate to the temporary folder where you downloaded the patch.
  5. Extract the patch tar.Z file, using the following command:
    zcat PAM2B.9.0.21.002_unix.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
  6. Run the following command
    Unix/setup.sh
  7. Start the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/start-mft-proxy.sh
  8. (Optional) Start Control-M MFT forward proxy by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/start-forward-proxy.sh

Uninstalling the Patch from UNIX

This procedure describes how to uninstall PAM2B.9.0.21.002 from UNIX.

Begin

  1. Log in to the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway user account.
  2. Stop the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/shut-mft-proxy.sh
  3. Stop the Control-M MFT forward proxy, if running, by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/stop-forward-proxy.sh
  4. Run the following command:
    ~/patches/PAM2B.9.0.21.002/unInstall_PAM2B.9.0.21.002.sh
  5. Start the Control-M MFT Enterprise Gateway by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/start-mft-proxy.sh
  6. (Optional) Start Control-M MFT forward proxy by typing the following command:
    ~/mft-proxy/exe/start-forward-proxy.sh
