BMC Software is releasing patch PANFT.9.0.21.205 to correct the following problem in Control-M/EM 9.0.21.200 for UNIX and Windows.

Note

  • If you are upgrading from Control-M/EM 9.0.20 or lower, and are in Compatibility Mode, BMC strongly recommends that you install this patch.
  • Verify that Control-M/EM 9.0.21.200, PANFT.9.0.21.201, and PANFT.9.0.21.204 are installed before you apply this patch.

 Installing the PANFT.9.0.21.205 Patch on UNIX/Linux

This procedure describes how to install patch PANFT.9.0.21.205 on UNIX/Linux. You must install this patch on every environment where a Control-M/Enterprise Manager Server is installed.

Before You Begin

Begin

  1. Log in as the Control-M/EM user.
  2. Copy the patch installation file that you obtained into a temporary directory.
  3. Set execution flags for the patch installation file using the following command:
    chmod +x <temporary directory>/PANFT.9.0.21.205_<platform>_INSTALL.BIN
  4. Stop all Control-M/EM components.
  5. Run the following script from the Control-M/EM Home directory:
    <temporary directory>/PANFT.9.0.21.205_<platform>_INSTALL.BIN
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
  7. Start all Control-M/EM components.

Installing the PANFT.9.0.21.205 Patch on Windows

This procedure describes how to install patch PANFT.9.0.21.205 on Windows. You must install this patch on every environment where a Control-M/Enterprise Manager Server is installed.

Before You Begin

  • Verify Control-M/EM version 9.0.21.200 and patches PANFT.9.0.21.201 and PANFT.9.0.21.204 are installed  before you apply this patch. 
  • Obtain the installation package via EPD, as described in Obtaining Control-M Installation Files via EPD.

Begin

  1. Stop all Control-M/EM components.
  2. Double-click the PANFT.9.0.21.205_windows_x86_64.exe file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
  4. Start all Control-M/EM components.

Uninstalling the PANFT.9.0.21.205 Patch from UNIX/Linux

This procedure describes how to uninstall patch PANFT.9.0.21.205 from UNIX/Linux. 

Begin

  1. Stop all Control-M/EM components.
  2. Navigate to the following directory:
    <USER_HOME>/install/PANFT.9.0.21.205 
  3. Run the following script:
    uninstall.sh
  4. Start all Control-M/EM components.

This procedure describes how to uninstall patch PANFT.9.0.21.205 from Windows. 

Begin

  1. Stop all Control-M/EM components.
  2. From Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, select Control-M/Enterprise Manager PANFT.9.0.21.200 patch 5 (<instance name>).
  3. Select Uninstall.
  4. Start all Control-M/EM components.
