Resolving validation errors

(Apptune only) The following information is relevant to both DOMPLEX option sets and Apptune filter sets .

To resolve validation errors

While editing the option set, you might receive some validation error messages on fields that contain invalid data or that are required to have a value. Validation errors cause the filter setting to change to Filter:Invalid and only fields that have validation errors are displayed. Press F1 on the field containing invalid data to get more information about the validation error. As the values are corrected, the fields disappear from the Filter:Invalid display. When all validation errors have been corrected, the filter reverts to what you had before, for example, Filter:Required or Filter:Off.

Warning

Important

At any time, you can reset the Filter:Invalid to a different filter setting but when the validation process runs again, you are set back to Filter:Invalid.

You can stop an editing session before you are finished and save your changes, even if the option set still has validation errors. To do so, press F3 and then press Enter on the Confirm Option Set End with Errors panel.

  1. On the Filter: Invalid view, put your cursor on the field and press F1 to see the error for a specific field. On the Filter: Invalid view, you can issue the fastpath commands (FILTOFF, FILTREQ, etc) to switch to another view or issue them from the Filter menu on the task bar.
