Moving and editing templates


Use these procedures to move your templates between folders and edit template information.

Unless you are a superuser, you can move and edit only templates that you created.

To move a template to a different folder

New console
  1. In the upper left corner of the New console, click Apps.
  2. Click Template NW_file_template_o_teal.png .
  3. Select your user name from the Filter by owner menu, and filter the templates so that you can see only templates that you created.

    Note

    Skip this step if you are a superuser and intend to move another user's templates.

  4. If you want to move the template to a new folder, create the new folder as described in To create a folder.
  5. Navigate to and select the template to be moved.
  6. Click Move NW_list_arrows.png.
  7. Navigate to and select the target folder.
  8. Click OK.
Classic console
  1. In the upper right corner of the Classic console, click Apps.
  2. Click Template template_manager_app_64.png.

    Tip

    You can also access the Manage Templates dialog box from the Create Template g_gud_OthersTemplate-24.pngcommand.

  3. Select your user name from the Filter by owner menu, and filter the templates so that you can see only templates that you created.

    Note

    Skip this step if you are a superuser and intend to move another user's templates.

  4. If you want to move the template to a new folder, create the new folder as described in To create a folder.
  5. Navigate to and select the template to be moved.
  6. Click g_gud_move_folder.png.
  7. Navigate to and select the target folder.
  8. Click OK.

To edit a template's information

New console
  1. In the upper left corner of the console, click Apps.

  4. Navigate to and select the template.
  5. Click NW_pencil_adapt.png.
  6. Edit the template's information.
  7. Click OK.
Classic console
  1. In the upper right corner of the console, click Apps.
  2. Click Template template_manager_app_64.png.
  3. Select your user name from the Filter by owner menu, and filter the templates so that you can see only templates that you created.

    Note

    Skip this step if you are a superuser and intend to edit another user's templates.

  4. Navigate to and select the template.
  5. Click edit-24.png.
  6. Edit the template's information.
  7. Click OK.




 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
