Managing the BMC AMI Utility Management schedule settings
To add a schedule
- In the Product Tools perspective, select or add a BMC AMI Utility Management view.
In the Schedules tab, click Add schedule .
- in the General tab, complete the following fields:

Type
Select one of the following types:
Applications
Table spaces
Indexes
Name pattern
Enter a name pattern for the group of objects or applications for which you want to create a schedule. You can use the * or % wildcard, or both.
Partition
Enter a partition number or specify 0 for all partitions.
Comment
(Optional) Enter a comment describing the schedule.
- In the Schedule tab, complete the following fields:

Utility ID
Either leave this field blank to include all utility IDs in this schedule, or enter a utility ID to limit this schedule to that utility. For more information, see Creating a Utility Status view.
Apply to BMC AMI Reorg
Apply to BMC AMI Copy
Apply to BMC AMI Stats
Select one or more utilities that you want to schedule.
Include or Exclude
Indicate whether to include or exclude the group of objects from processing according to the schedule.
Monthly
Weekly
Select when to perform the processing:
On a specific day of each month, or a specific day of a specific month
Every day of the month
On a specific day each week, or every day of the week
Start time
Select a start time for the process.
Important
The product does not support starting a process before midnight and completing it the following day. For that scenario, you would need to create two schedules (one ending at 23:59:59 and one beginning at 00:00:00).
End time
Select an end time for the process.
- Click OK .
is displayed next to each added schedule. - Click Save Changes to save all the changes to the BMC AMI Utility Management view.
- In the Product Tools perspective, select or add an NGT Utility Management view.
In the Schedules tab, click Add schedule .
Tip
You can also right-click in the table to select this action.

To edit schedules
You can edit multiple criteria, exceptions, schedules and (BMC.DB2.SPE2201) durations before you save all the changes to the BMC AMI Utility Management view in one action.
- In the Product Tools perspective, select a BMC AMI Utility Management view.
- In the Schedules table, select a schedule that you want to edit and click Edit schedule .
The schedule that you are editing is displayed at the top of the dialog box. - In the Edit BMC AMI Utility Management Schedule dialog box, edit the values in the General and Schedule tabs.
- (Optional) Edit additional schedules using the Previous schedule and Next schedule arrows to navigate to another exception.
When you have completed your edits, click OK.
is displayed next to each edited schedule.Verify the edited schedule, you can reset the changes, by selecting one or more edited schedules and clicking .
- (Optional) You can now edit the Criteria, Exceptions, and Durations settings.
Click Save Changes to save all the changes to the BMC AMI Utility Management view.
Important
Next time that you select an edited schedule, the Last update field will show the user ID and timestamp of the last update to the schedule.
- In the Product Tools perspective, select an NGT Utility Management view.
- In the Schedules table, select a schedule that you want to edit and click Edit schedule .
The schedule that you are editing is displayed at the top of the dialog box. - In the Edit Utility Management Schedule dialog box, edit the values in the General and Schedule tabs.
- (Optional) Edit additional schedules using the Previous schedule and Next schedule arrows to navigate to another exception.
When you have completed your edits, click OK.

- (Optional) You can now edit the Criteria and Exceptions settings.
Click to save all the changes to the NGT Utility Management view.
Note

To delete schedules
- In the Product Tools perspective, select a BMC AMI Utility Management view.
- In the Schedules table, select one or more schedules for deletion.
- Click Delete schedules .
is displayed next to each schedule that you selected to delete. - Verify the schedules that you selected to delete, you can undo the deletions, by selecting one or more selected schedules and clicking .
- Click Save Changes to confirm the deletions from the BMC AMI Utility Management view.
- In the Product Tools perspective, select an NGT Utility Management view.
- In the Schedules table, select one or more schedules for deletion.
- Click Delete schedules .
is displayed next to each schedule that you selected to delete. - Verify the schedules that you selected to delete, you can undo the deletions, by selecting one or more selected schedules and clicking .
- Click to confirm the deletions from the NGT Utility Management view.
