Copying data

Use the following procedure to copy data from the results pane to the clipboard.

To copy data

  1. Select or create a Db2 object view that contains the object or objects that you want to copy.

    For more information, see Creating a Db2 object view.

  2. Navigate to and select your source object or objects.

    For more information, see Navigating to an object.

  3. Perform one of the following tasks:
    • To copy all objects in the view, right-click anywhere in the results pane and select Select All; then right-click and select Copy.

    • To copy specific objects, select one or more object entries, right-click, and select Copy.

    You can now paste the data directly into a file or a spreadsheet application such as the Microsoft Excel application. The data automatically contains the column names.

  1. Select or create a Db2 object view that contains the object or objects that you want to copy.

  3. Perform one of the following tasks:

    • To copy specific objects, select one or more object entries, right-click, and select Copy .
