Adding a BMC AMI Utility Management view


You set up and edit the 

BMC AMI Utility Manager

 tables in a BMC AMI Utility Management view. Use the following procedure to add a new BMC AMI Utility Management view.


Tip

If you cannot see the Product Tools perspective, click Layout layout.pngand add the perspective to the layout. For more information, see Managing-a-workspace-layout.

To add a BMC AMI Utility Management view

New console
  1. Open or create a workspace.
  2. In the Product Tools perspective, click the Add view NW_plus_circle_o.png menu arrow, and then click Add BMC AMI Utility Management View.

    Tip

    The default value of the Add View menu is always the last option that you created.

  3. Select a DB2 connection by using either of the following methods:
    • Type the full or partial name of a DB2 connection to select the first subsystem that matches this value in the list of favorite connections.
    • Use the menu arrow to select from your list of favorite connections.

      Tip

      You can add DB2 connections to your list of favorite connections by clicking NW_plug_connect_square_green.png and specifying which connections to include.

  4. Enter a name for the view or accept the default name.
  5. Click OK.The new BMC AMI Utility Management view is listed in the navigation pane, and the Criteria, Exceptions, Schedules, and (BMC.DB2.SPE2201) Durations tables for that subsystem are displayed in the respective tabs.
  6. Click Save Workspace NW_floppy_orange.png to save the workspace.
Classic console
  1. Open or create a workspace.
  2. In the Product Tools perspective, click the Add View Add-16.png menu arrow, and then click UtilityManager-24.png Add NGT Utility Management View.

    Tip

    You can also right-click in the navigation pane to select this action.

    The default value of the Add View menu is always the last option that you created.

  3. Select a DB2 connection by using either of the following methods:
    • Type the full or partial name of a DB2 connection to select the first subsystem that matches this value in the list of favorite connections.
    • Use the menu arrow to select from your list of favorite connections.

      You can add DB2 connections to your list of favorite connections by clicking ViewFavoritesList-24.png and specifying which connections to include.

  4. Enter a name for the view or accept the default name.
  5. Click OK.The new NGT Utility Management view is listed in the navigation pane, and the Criteria, Exceptions, and Schedules tables for that subsystem are displayed in the respective tabs.
  6. Click Save changes g_gud_save.png to save the workspace.
