Verifying Cloud Database Extensions installation
You can verify that the Cloud Database Extensions were installed successfully by using the following procedures.
To review installation log files
- If you just completed the installation and the installer prompts you to view the installation log, perform the following steps:
- Click View Log.
- Check the log file for SEVERE errors and import failures.
- Skip to step 4.
Log on to the server that hosts Cloud Database.
Directory Log file Windows: C:\Windows\Temp bmcclm_install_log.txt
Linux: \tmp - If a SEVERE or WARNING error message was reported, consult the Known and corrected issues and Troubleshooting the installation, migration, or upgrade sections. You may also contact BMC Customer Support for additional help.
To verify entries in the SHARE:Application_Properties form
- In a web browser, enter the following URL:
http://<hostName>:8080/arsys/forms/<serverName>/SHARE:Application_Properties
Within the URL:- <hostName> represents the fully qualified name of the mid tier server.
- <serverName> represents the name of the server that hosts Cloud Database.
- Log on with the default user name, Demo, which does not require a password.
- Click New Search.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Property Name: Enter Name.
- Property Value: Enter BMC.
- Click Search.
A list of properties that match the search criteria is displayed. Verify that the following entries appear in the search results:
Name
Identifier
BMC Cloud Service Management - Public Schema Extension
