Installing BMC Server Automation for HA

Complete the following steps to install BMC Server Automation for high availability (HA).

  1. Verify the BMC Server Automation File Server, the BMC Server Automation Primary and the BMC Server Automation MAS host information in the BMC Cloud LifeCycle Management installer.
  2. Click BMC Server Automation File Server and start the installation.
  3. Once the BMC Server Automation File Server is installed successfully, click Primary BMC Server Automation node and start the installation.
  4. During installation you would be asked to provide the database installation. Provide correct database information. For SQL Server you need to provide correct path for mdf and ldf files. In case of Linux provide Oracle database information.
  5. Specify storage location on BMC Server Automation File Server.
  6. Click Next and follow all the instructions.
  7. Specify Primary BMC Server Automation information. It will detect File Server Information
  8. After primary BMC Server Automation installation is complete, start with secondary BMC Server Automation server installation by clicking on the node.
  9. Specify same database host and credentials of Primary BMC Server Automation.
  10. During Secondary MAS (Secondary BMC Server Automation) installation, make sure you specify same SSL password that you specified during Primary BMC Server Automation installation.
