Creating entitlement packages

Entitlement packages are groups of requestable offerings that you want to make available to one or more tenant companies.

The following BMC Communities video (5:57) describes how to configure entitlements and groups so that users from the same tenant company see different service offerings in the service catalog.

To create an entitlement package

  1. From the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Administration Console, click the vertical Workspaces menu on the left side of the window and select Service Catalog.
  2. Click the Entitlement Packages tab.
    The Packages workarea is displayed.
  3. Click the Create Entitlement Package icon .
    The Package Details dialog box is displayed.
  4. Enter a name for the package.
  5. Enter a description.
  6. In Company, select the tenant company for the package or select Global to make the package available to all companies.
  7. You can enter or select a package group.
    Package Group marks a package as being part of a group. The Package Group value is not used anywhere else.
  8. In the Available Requestable Offerings (SRDs) table, select the offerings that you want to make available to the selected company.
  9. Click Add to move the offering to the Selected Requestable Offerings (SRDs) table.
    You can also drag and drop entitlement packages from one table to the other.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click Close.

You can now associate the new entitlement package with a particular tenant company, as described in Managing entitlement packages.

To edit an entitlement package

  1. From the BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management Administration Console, click the vertical Workspaces menu on the left side of the window and select Service Catalog.
  2. Click the Entitlement Packages tab.
    The Entitlement Packages workarea is displayed.
  3. Select an entitlement package.
  4. Click the Edit Entitlement Package icon.
  5. In the Package Details dialog box, change the details as necessary.
    You can edit an entitlement package to change the following details:

    • Name of the package
    • Description
    • Package Group
    • Selected requestable offerings (SROs) included in the package
    You cannot change the company or the ID.
  6. Click Save.
