Managing network paths in the legacy console

A network path specifies two network endpoints. A network endpoint can be of one of the following entities:

  • Server network interface card
  • Network instance
  • Load balancer pool
  • Hard-coded IP address
  • Hard-coded subnet mask

To create and manage a network path, you must have at least one virtual firewall.

To view network paths on an existing network

You can view your existing network paths from the Servers link bar on the My Services tab.

  1. From the BMC My Cloud Services Lifecycle Console, click the Servers link bar on the My Services tab.
  2. Click to highlight a server in the Servers list in the left pane.
  3. View the Network Paths table on the lower-right side.

    For more details about a network path in the table, highlight an entry and click the Manage Network Paths button  .

To create a network path

  1. From the Manage Network Paths dialog box, select the Network or Load Balancer Pool radio button, and click the drop-down arrow to display the corresponding entries.
  2. Select a Network Interface or Load Balancer Pool (LBP) entry from the drop-down list.
  3. Click the Create Network Path icon   to display the Create Network Path wizard.
  4. Continue with one of the following procedures:

To delete a network path

  1. From the Manage Network Paths dialog box, select the Network or Load Balancer Pool radio button, and click the drop-down arrow to display the corresponding entries.
  2. Select a Network Interface or Load Balancer Pool (LBP) entry from the drop-down list.
  3. Select an existing network path to delete.
  4. Click the Delete Network Path   icon.

Note

Network paths locked by a cloud administrator can be deleted only by a cloud administrator.
