(Optional) Setting up BMC Server Automation database on Linux

As an optional step, if you want to set up a BMC Server Automation database on Linux, perform the following steps:

  1. Extract Applications\BL-OpsManager\Common\external-files.zip on BMC Server Automation host.
  2. Perform the steps as mentioned in setting-up-an-oracle-database-for-bmc-server-automation. Ignore Step 2 under section "To create an Oracle database user and database tablespaces" in BMC Server Automation documentation.
