  • Ensure that on the secondary node, the shared disk is available and the cluster is active.

Installing the secondary BMC Network Automation server

Install the secondary BMC Network Automation server by following the steps listed on the Installing the application server on Windows page.

Note

  • Ensure that you specify the same inputs that you had specified when you installed the primary BMC Network Automation server.
  • While entering the inputs on the Database Information panel, enter the same database details that you provided for the primary server. Do not select the Create New Database and Create New User options.

Installing the Secondary Platform Manager on a Cluster

  1. Fail over the cluster to secondary node.
  2. For Windows, manually create BMC CSM and Quick Start services by using the following command:

    sc create BMCCSM binPath= "\"S:\Program Files\BMC Software\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\
    wrapper.exe\" -s \"S:\Program Files\BMC Software\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\Platform_Manager\wrapper.conf\
    "" DisplayName= "BMC CSM"
    sc create BMCQuickStart binPath= "\"S:\Program Files\BMC Software\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\
    Platform_Manager\QuickStart\quickstart.exe\" -s \"S:\Program Files\BMC Software\BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement\
    Platform_Manager\QuickStart\quickstart.conf\"" DisplayName= "BMCQuickStart"
  3. For Linux create a soft link for BMC CSM and Quick Start service in /etc/init.d.

    ln -s /gfs/bmc/BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement/Platform_Manager/sh.script.in /etc/init.d/bmccsm
    ln -s /gfs/bmc/BMCCloudLifeCycleManagement/Platform_Manager/QuickStart/sh.script.in /etc/init.d/BMCQuickStart
