Managing VLB pools by server
Perform these tasks to manage virtual load balancer (VLB) pools for servers for your organization:
Note
If a server is part of the shared network infrastructure, meaning that the server is a shared resource, you cannot modify VLB pools for the server.
To add a VLB pool

- Access the My Services > Services subtab of the BMC My Cloud Services Console to select service.
- Double-click a service instance to display its server or servers.
- Select a server and click the Manage Load Balancer icon . The Edit Load Balancer Settings dialog appears.
- Select the Network Interface for the pool.
- Click the Add Load Balancer Pool icon . The Chose Load Balancers dialog box appears.
- Select a VLB pool from the list.
- Chose whether to enable the VLB pool when added and whether to override the application protocol and port number of the vLB pool.
- Click OK.
To remove a VLB pool
- From the Service Instances pane of My Cloud Services Console, double-click a service instance to display its server or servers.
- Select a server and click the Manage Load Balancer icon . The Edit Load Balancer Settings dialog appears.
- Highlight the VLB pool you want to remove.
- Click the Remove Load Balancer Pool icon to remove the highlighted VLB pool. A confirmation deletion pop up appears.
- Click Yes to confirm permanent deletion of the VLB pool.
To enable or disable a VLB pool
- From the Service Instances pane of My Cloud Services Console, double-click a service instance to display its server or servers.
- Select a server and click the Manage Load Balancer icon . The Edit Load Balancer Settings dialog appears.
- Highlight the VLB pool you want to enable or disable.
- Click the Enable Pool icon or the Disable Pool icon to change the status of the highlighted VLB for the server.
