Installation issues with the cloud core products

Depending on the set of features that you selected for which the installation might have failed, revert your VM or physical machine and restore your database backup, as outlined in the following table.

To resolve cloud core installation issues

  1. Identify and troubleshoot the issues that occurred on the target host.
  2. Depending on the feature that failed during the installation, revert your VM or physical machine and restore your database backup, as outlined in the following table.

    Feature name selected to install using the standalone installer

    Restore file system

    Restore database

    • Cloud Database Public Extensions
    • Portal

    Revert the VM snapshot or clean up the physical computer that hosts the BMC Remedy AR System Server and BMC Remedy ITSM Suite product to the state before starting the Cloud Database Public Extensions and Portal installation.

    Revert the database of the BMC Remedy AR System Server and BMC Remedy ITSM Suite to the state before starting the Cloud Database Public Extensions and Portal installation.

    • Cloud Database Public Extensions
    • Cloud Database Private Extensions

    Revert the VM snapshot or clean up the physical computer that hosts the BMC Remedy AR System – Cloud Database product to the state before starting the Cloud Database Public Extensions and Cloud Database Private Extensions installation.

    Revert the database of the BMC Remedy AR System – Cloud Database to the state before starting the Cloud Database Public Extensions and Cloud Database Private Extensions installation.

    • Persistence Manager
    • API Server
    • Workload Manager
    • Execution Fabric Manager
    • Resource Manager
    • Revert the VM snapshot or clean up the physical computer that hosts the Platform Manager product to the state with the installation prerequisites met.

    No database steps required.
