Applying a Full Use BMC ProactiveNet license

The BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management environment provides a restricted license for BMC ProactiveNet. With the limited-access license, you can only use BMC ProactiveNet for cloud monitoring through the My Cloud Services Console. With a Full Use BMC ProactiveNet license, you can log on to the BMC ProactiveNet Operations Console and access the full event management and data analytics capabilities.

Use the following procedure to apply a license for a Full Use BMC ProactiveNet environment.

To apply a Full Use BMC ProactiveNet license

1. Contact BMC Customer Support to request a full use license file, proactivenet.lic.
2. Using administrator privileges, log on to each computer where you installed BMC ProactiveNet Server or BMC ProactiveNet Central Server.
3. Copy the new proactivenet.lic file to the BPPMServerInstallDirectory\pw\license directory and overwrite the old version.
4. Open the BMC ProactiveNet Pw Commands window: go to Start > All Programs > BMC ProactiveNet Server > BMC ProactiveNet Pw Commands.
5. At the prompt, run the pw license update command.
