About the Catalog Manager for IMS features used in BMC AMI Change Manager for IMS

Various features from Catalog Manager are reused in the BMC AMI Change Manager for IMS with an updated look and feel. For example:

  • Catalog Explorer
  • SPUFI SQL processor
  • IMS Command builder

You can restrict access to these functions against various IMS PLEXes by using Facility Classes of the form:
BBM.SDBA.CATMAN.[plexname].[function]

where [plexname] is the IMS PLEX name and [function] is one of the following:

  • CATVIEW—Governs access to the Catalog Explorer function
  • SPUFI—Governs access to the Spufi and Data explorer functions
  • IMSCMD—Governs access to the IMS Command builder function

Note

Read-access to the corresponding facility class will allow users to access the corresponding function against that IMS PLEX.
