Exporting events to the ICS file

The Calendar provides the option to export one or all events that you see on the Calendar in the selected time span. The data is exported to an iCalendar (ICS) file, which you can manually import to your personal calendar like Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, or an Apple Calendar. 

Notes

  • This functionality is available only for version 8.1 SP 1 and later.
  • You can export the events seen only in the Calendar view. This functionality is not available in the Eventlist view or Timeline view.
  • You cannot import the ICS file to the Calendar in BMC Remedy ITSM Suite.
  • If incorrect time zones are displayed for your events after importing the ICS file to your personal calendar, ensure that your time zone is present on the NGC:TimeZoneMapping form. For more information on adding your time zone to this form, see Adding your time zone.

To export Calendar events to add to your personal calendar

  • To export a selected event, in the Calendar view, right-click the event that you want to export and select the Export to ICS option. 

  • To export all events seen on the Calendar, in the Calendar view, click the Export all Events to ICS file icon.

    The data is exported to an ICS file, which is downloaded to your computer. For information about how to import this ICS file in your personal calendar, see your application documentation.

    We will need a note here mentioning:

    After importing ICS to your personal calendar, if you see incorrect time zone for your events, then check if your timezone is present in NGC:TimeZoneMapping form. If not present then add your time zone to this form Adding your time zone
