Enabling the Change Implementer support group assignment

This topic describes how to enable the Change Implementer support group assignment.

To enable the Change Implementer support group assignment

  1. From the Application Administration Console, click the Custom Configuration tab.
  2. From the Application Settings list, select Foundation > Configure Assignment > Configure Application Assignment, and then click Open.
    The Configure Assignment form is displayed.
  3. In the Event field, select -General-.
  4. From the Available Systems (Systems supported) select the Change Management check-box.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Ensure that the status for all records is set to Enabled
  7. Click Save.

    Tip

    If you want to modify multiple records in one go, select the records that you want to modify, or click Select All, and then click Modify All. Make the necessary changes, and then click Save on the top left corner.

    Adding this assignment configuration will not enable the Implementor-related fields on the CHG:Infrastructure Change form. These fields are hidden in version 7.5 and above which makes this functionality useless.

    The other thing is that the Implementor role is available within the Change Console as a filter, which suggests that people should be able to choose to see only changes for which they were selected as Implementers but there's no way of assigning one as an Implementor of a change manually OOTB.
