Resubmitting a rejected request

If an approver rejects a proposed change request, the approval process is stopped. The Approval Status is set to Rejected. You can resubmit the request for approval.

To resubmit a rejected request

  1. Open the request record.
  2. From the process flow bar, at the stage the request was rejected, select Restart.
The request status is set to Pending Approval for the stage at which it was rejected.

    Important

When an approver rejects a request, all signature lines associated with the request are closed. If this request is restarted, any ad hoc approver assigned to the request will have to be added again. Any tasks associated to the change request are not affected when the change is rejected and can be resumed when the change request is resumed.

When approving the request after it was restarted, users can enter details for restarting the request in the Work Info.

  3. Click the Work Details tab and enter details in the Notes field.

  4. Save your changes.
