Viewing audit records for service targets


Auditing is a security feature that enables to track changes made to service targets and measurement data. The SLM administrator can view the audit records from BMC Helix Innovation Studio.

By default, an audit record contains the following details:

  • User name of the person who made the changes.
  • Date and time of the change.
  • Fields in which the changes were made.
  • Changed values in those fields.

To view the audit records

  1. As an administrator, log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Workspace tab.
  2. Click Service Level Management.
  3. Click the Records tab and select the check box corresponding to one the following options:
    • ServiceTarget_Audit
    • Measurement_Audit
  4. To view the Audit record, click Edit Data

    Tip

    You can filter the search results by entering the GUID of the service target for which you want to view the audit record.

  5. On the Data Editor (ServiceTarget_Audit) page or Data Editor (Measurement_Audit) page, click the Visible column icon.png icon to add or remove columns.

    In the audit record table, the fields that are enabled for auditing are displayed as columns. You can only add or remove columns from the view.

    • Modified Date
    • Service Target Title
    • Goal Type
    • Goal Time Days
    • Goal Time Hours
    • Goal Time Minutes
    • Start Qualification
    • Stop Qualification
    • Pause Qualification
    • Effective From

    In the audit record table, the fields that are enabled for auditing are displayed as columns. You can only add or remove columns from the view.

    • Overall Start Time
    • Overall Stop Time
    • Overall Elapsed Time
    • DownElapsedTime
    • UpElapsedTime

You cannot edit or export the data in the audit record.
