Network Container page in the BMC CLM view

A Network Container is a cloud entity that provides a secure logical separation of resources within a pod. The Network Container page in the BMC CLM view displays information on all Network Containers contained in the selected cloud.

To access this page, in the TrueSight console, select Capacity > Views > Cloud > BMC CLM and click the Network Container tab.

The Network Container tab contains the Network Containers table that displays the following information for each Network Container. For more information about sorting, see Sorting a table in the TrueSight console.

Statistical Type Metrics 

Network Container

Name of the Network Container. Clicking on one of the network containers in this column takes you to the Network Container Details page.

Last Value NAME
PodName of the pod the Network Container belongs to. Clicking on the link takes you to the Pod Details page.Last Value NAME


Total CPU capacity of the Network Container, measured Gigahertz.

CPU Used [GHz]Total CPU used by the Network Container, measured in Gigahertz.95th percentile


Memory [GB]

Total physical memory capacity of the Network Container, measured in Gigabytes.

Memory Used [GB]Total physical memory used by the Network Container, measured in Gigabytes.95th percentile


Days to SaturationProjected amount of time before the Network Container runs out of available capacity

Computed by AFS using total capacity and 95th utilization of CPU, Memory and Storage

Viewing detailed information about a network container

After you click on the container in the Network Container column, the details for that container are displayed in the Network Container Details page. The Network Container Details page displays the following information:

Section or PanelDescription
General details section

General details, such as network container name, type, and a number of elements within it are displayed. The cloud type is Cloud - Network Container.

Related Information panel

Clicking the links in the Related Information panel displays the other information related to the selected network container. 

Tags panelDisplays tags, if any, that are associated with the network container. You can add tags to the network container using the action menuthat is located next to Tags. For more information, see Working with tag filters
Summary tab

The Summary tab, that is displayed by default, displays details for the selected network container in a horizontal summary table, as well as charts. 

Analysis charts: Core metrics for the selected entity are displayed as analysis charts, depending on available data. A link at the bottom of each chart allows you to view the data for a specific resource type. You can download, save an offline copy, annotate, and print the charts. For more information, see Managing charts.

Configuration Details tabThe Configuration Details tab displays the configuration matrix for the selected network container

Using data filter and other controls in tables

You can export and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, filter tables on particular domains, and so on.
