Troubleshooting outage record creation

After applying BMC Service Resolution 3.5 Patch 001, the outage record is not created because the outage entry location is incorrect in the .load file.

  1. Edit the .load file located in the BMC_ProactiveNet_HOME/server/etc/<cellName>/kb/rules folder to change the location of the outage entry.

    Note:
    Ensure that you take a backup of the .load file before editing it.
  2. Copy the outage entry, which is at the end of the file and paste it before the changeManagement entry.
  3. Delete the outage entry, which is at the end of the file. The contents of the updated file should appear as follows:
  4. Save the file.
  5. Navigate to the BMC_ProactiveNet_HOME/server/bin folder and run the following commands:
    1. To set the environment variablesource setup_env.sh
    2. To compile the Cell./mccomp -n <cellName>
    3. To reload the KBs: ./mcontrol -n <cellName> reload kb
