Copy of Removing an IMSID from the log data sets of an existing Group

The REMOVE IMSID from Group Log option allows you to remove an IMSID from the Log, History, and Repository File data sets for a specified group.
This feature ensures that the coordinated changes that have already been applied to the IMSIDs in the specified Group will be removed from the IMSID that you want to remove from the Group.

To remove an IMSID from the log data sets of an existing Group

  1. From the CM IMS TM Main Menu, type 4 in the selection field and press Enter. The Administration Menu is displayed.
  2. Type 2 in the selection field and press Enter. The IMSID/Group Options Entry panel is displayed.
  3. Perform the appropriate action for the appropriate interface as follows:

    CM IMS TM without VIRTUAL TERMINALType 1 in the selection field with the IMSID to be added specified in the IMSID or Group field and press Enter. The Edit IMSID Options panel is displayed.

    Type 1 in the selection field with the IMSID to be added specified in the IMSID or Group field and press Enter. The Edit IMSID Options panel is displayed.

    Type 1 in the selection field and press Enter. The IMSID Options - Basic Options panel is displayed.

  4. Blank out the name of the Group in the XCF Group field and press Enter. The Confirm Remove IMS window is displayed.
  5. Remove the IMSID from the Specified Group’s Log, History, and Repository File data sets using one of the following options:
    1. Type 1 in the selection field and press Enter. CM IMS TM removes the IMSID from the specified Group’s Log and History File data sets.
    2. Type 2 in the selection field and press Enter. CM IMS TM does not remove the IMSID from the specified Group’s Log, History, and Repository File data sets, but will save the XCF Group field change to the IMSID options when you save your changes.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. Perform the appropriate action for the appropriate interface as follows:

  8. Type 1 in the selection field and press Enter. CM IMS TM saves the IMSID options.
  9. Press F3 twice. The CM IMS TM Main Menu is displayed.

To remove the IMSID from the Log, History, and Repository File data sets from a specified Group without removing the IMSID from the Group

  1. From the CM IMS TM Main Menu, type 4 in the selection field and press Enter. The Administration Menu is displayed.
  2. Type 10 in the selection field and press Enter. The Remove IMSID from Group Log panel is displayed.
  3. Type the IMSID of the IMS system you want to remove from a specified Group's Log, History, and Repository File data sets in the Remove IMSID field.
  4. Type the name of the Group for which you want to remove an IMSID from its Log, History, and Repository File data sets in the from the Log for Group field, and press Enter. The Confirm Remove IMS window is displayed.
  5. Save your changes as follows:
    1. Type 1 in the selection field and press Enter. CM IMS TM removes the IMSID from the specified Group’s Log and History File data sets.
    2. Press F3 twice. The CM IMS TM Main Menu is displayed.
