Operating the IPT server

If a cpcxCMDS data set member contains the default CPC START IPT command, the IPT server automatically starts when you start the BCSS/CPC subsystem. If the BCSS/CPC subsystem does not automatically start the IPT server, you must start the IPT server manually.

Although you can have multiple server address spaces on one MVS, BMC recommends that you have as few address spaces as are required to avoid connectivity issues.
