Understand the DR test environment

The following figure shows an example of a DR test environment in comparison to a production environment.

The DR test environment has the following characteristics:

  • The repository must have a unique IMS ID Environment record. No IMS system exists for this IMS ID.
  • The RMGR should have a unique JOBPDS.
  • The DR test repository must be a copy of the production repository.
  • The DR test RECONs must be a cleaned copy of the production RECONs.
