We are no longer updating the individual documentation spaces for these components. For the latest documentation, see BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS 5.2.

ICSPACE keyword

The ICSPACE keyword specifies, for output image copy data sets, the amount of DASD space to allocate for a new non-SMS data set or to override the space allocation defined in the DATACLAS for an SMS data set.

This keyword is valid only if the BMC Image Copy utility is installed and licensed.

  • ICSPACE(u,n)—for type and primary allocation

1-8 alphanumeric characters. The unit to use for allocating the output space. Cylinders (C or CYL), tracks (T or TRK), or a number (1-65535).

If you specify a number, its meaning is defined by the ICAVGREC keyword. If you specify U, K, or M and SMS is active, the Change Accumulation utility interprets u as the average record length. Otherwise, it interprets u as the average block length.

,, n

Numeric (1-16777215). The number of secondary units to allocate.
