Space announcement
This space now contains the documentation for all the following components:
CHANGE ACCUMULATION PLUS
IMAGE COPY PLUS
RECOVERY MANAGER for IMS
RECOVERY PLUS for IMS
We are no longer updating the individual documentation spaces for these components. For the latest documentation, see BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS 5.2.
Change accumulations
The Recovery utility uses a change accumulation data set if it is available, but you are never required to run change accumulation before the recovery.
The change accumulation data set contains the latest change record for each record in the database. Because previous change records for a individual database record are discarded during change accumulation and are therefore not processed during recovery, using a change accumulation data set can reduce elapsed time for a recovery. For more information, see Identifying-input-change-accumulations.
