9.1.04.001: Patch 1 for BMC Remedy AR System 9.1.04

This patch enables cognitive service management and offers the capabilities to migrate Remedy with Smart IT 2.0 definitions from the development environment to production environment. 

This patch is only for Remedy with Smart IT 2.0 and is available on FTP.

Important

You must apply this patch after you upgrade all the servers in a server group to BMC Remedy AR System 9.1.04. The File Deployer process that deploys the patch on an individual server is a part of version 9.1.04. Hence it is necessary to upgrade all servers to 9.1.04 and then apply the patch. 

To download this patch from FTP

  1. In the web browser, access ftp://ftp.bmc.com/pub/CA9104001/
  2. Download the ARS9104Patch001_9.1.04.001.zip file.

    Note

    If you open this patch package in Windows Explorer, the package contents may not be visible because of the compression algorithm. Due to this, some compressed files might not open.
    If you face this issue, run a third-party utility such as 7Zip to extract the package contents.

      You can upgrade from 9.0.01 to 18.08 without applying any patches. For the supported upgrade paths, see Planning an upgrade in the Remedy ITSM Deployment 18.08 documentation.

    I am installing this on Windows 2016. From the deployment management console I select Transfer Package --> Import and the Add Attachment dialog opens, I choose the zip file and click OK and the Status changes to Adding attachment(s) and it never loads, the dialog just stays open. I had to move the zip file over to the server because when I directly downloaded it the zip file would not open on the windows 2016 OS. Could there be an issue with Windows 2016 that is preventing it from opening?     Can , ARS9104Patch001_9.1.04.001.zip be downloaded elsewhere? I've tried twice; via browser and command shell ftp to download it and the zip is corrupt or empty respectively. Thank you.

    The zip file when downloaded will not extract. There is a problem with the file and zip indicates that the file is invalid. Is there another place where the file can be downloaded? Thanks
