This documentation supports the 9.0 version of BMC Remedy ITSM Deployment.

To view the latest version, select the version from the Product version menu.

Software requirements

You must meet the following software requirements before installing the BMC Remedy AR System server:

  • You must have one of the following databases installed:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Oracle

You must have the appropriate software installed before you install BMC Remedy AR System features and clients. The following table lists the required software for each feature or client. (Blank cells indicate no software requirement.)

Notes

For Windows platforms running on an IPv6 server, BMC Remedy AR System requires Java Platform Standard Edition 7. For more information, see  Support for IPv6  in the BMC Remedy AR System documentation.

    What does "Clients" stand for? BMC Developer Studio & BMC Remedy Data Import are clients. But what about AI Spoon, BIRT, etc?

    What's the requirement for ARServer process itself? That's also Jave now?
