The resolution from BMC Communities thread should be added here:

    entry 10 - screen shot

entry 26 - You need to add below Impersonation Authentication code at end in web.xml file under smart reporting:

    Path: C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\SmartReporting\appserver\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\web.xml

    -- Restart tomcat
-- Change authentication to "Impersonation" in connection information.

It toke my a lot of time to find this way to configure the Smart reporting, until I found this resolution in the  BMC Communities.
