To encrypt a password for a silent installation

    • (UNIX) Go to your installation directory and run:
  2. Click the Encrypt tab.
  3. Enter your password in the Password field and the Confirm Password field.
  4. Click Encrypt.
  5. Copy and paste the encrypted password into the Options.txt file against the following option:
For example, if you  encrypt the BMC Atrium Core password and the output is DES\:b76c59dbc2e1433c7a9c2f006a2e2429116840dce695aea9, update the Options.txt file as follows:
    # -J BMC_AR_PASSWORD=DES\:b76c59dbc2e1433c7a9c2f006a2e2429116840dce695aea9
