BMC Atrium Core postinstallation procedures

BMC recommends that you do a health check as an automated test of installed product features after installing, before installing, or when troubleshooting a feature that does not work. The BMC Atrium Core Maintenance Tool gives you access to the Health Check utility, which automatically detects installed components and validates that they are installed successfully.

Health checks verifies if the:

  • Test Product Catalog data has been imported successfully. This data is deleted after successful installation.
  • BMC Atrium CMDB is up and and running.
  • Common Data Model (CDM) is deployed correctly.
  • UDDI registry is running.

The Maintenance Tool resides in the installation directory under BMCAtriumCoreInstallationDirectory\atriumcore.

See Collecting logs, diagnostics and performing system health check using the Maintenance Tool.

Post-installation health check after a fresh install fails for Atrium Core 9.0.01. I've been informed by BMC Support (ISS04532471) that the errors can be ignored due to known defects:

SW00496438 – Post-install validation for Product Catalog failed.

SW00469687 – Post-install validation for BMC Runtime UDDI Server failed.

Can you please add a note on this page about these two defects and also add the defects to the list of known defects at the following URL?

      Thanks Sandeep.

I have added the issues to the release notes.

We don't link to issues from procedures.

        Hi Hemant,

I still can't see those defects in the list of known defects on the ITSM deployment page and the Atrium Core page. Can you advise where those defects were added?
