Upgrading BMC Remedy AR System
The BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) Sytem installer guides you step-by-step through the upgrade process. When you start the installer, you can choose one or more features to upgrade at one time. Because certain applications depend on a specific set of features, you need to run the installer multiple times to upgrade all of the features in the solution. For example, you first upgrade the AR System server on one computer and then run the installer a second time to upgrade the mid tier on a different computer.
The BMC Remedy AR System upgrade comprises the following stages:
Stage 1: Prepare and plan for the upgrade
Stage 2: Complete the pre-upgrade procedures
Stage 4: Complete the post-upgrade procedures
