Making an BMC Remedy AR System backup before installing Drift Management


Ensure that you create a backup of the BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System database and the file system before you proceed with installing Drift Management. You will need this backup to restore AR System if you experience a problem with an installation.

Back up the existing AR System environment (forms, data, and workflow) and the AR System file system (for example, C:\Program Files\AR System) before you install Drift Management. To back up your environment, either back up your underlying database or export the AR System data and definitions before you overwrite the existing database.

Carefully follow the instructions in your specific database administrator guide for your database.
