BMC provides Jenkins pipelines to install BMC Helix IT Service Management on your on-premises systems. To get started with the installation, you must understand the end-to-end process for implementing BMC Helix IT Service Management on your system. To set up your system, you must meet the system requirements, download the installation files, perform the installation, complete the system configurations, and then make the system available to the users.
BMC Helix IT Service Management installation process
A typical installation of BMC Helix IT Service Management requires two namespaces as shown in the following image:
bmc-helix-platform and bmc-helix-innovation-suite-poc are example namespace names. The actual namespace names are specific to your environment.

Review the deployment architecture.
Get familiarized with the BMC Helix IT Service Management deployment architecture.
Plan the sizing of the container environment.
Plan your environment and check the license requirements based on the products you want to install.
Review the sizing guidelines for BMC Helix IT Service Management container environment. The sizing guidelines include the sizing requirements for the following products:
|c||Plan and set up your Kubernetes cluster|
Review the supported orchestration platforms and set up the cluster where you want to install BMC Helix Innovation Suite.
Create the namespaces to install BMC Helix Platform and BMC Helix Innovation Suite, and configure the master and worker nodes in the cluster.
|d||Set up load balancer and Ingress controller|
Review the supported load balancer, load balancer SSL methods, and headers for SSL configurations.
Set up the load balancer and Ingress controller for your cluster.
|e||Set up hardware requirements for BMC Deployment Engine|
Review the Jenkins server requirements to set up the BMC Deployment Engine.
Prepare for installation

In the BMC Helix Innovation Suite namespace, install the platform and applications.
