Installing BMC Atrium Core using silent mode

If you want to install or upgrade BMC Atrium Core in a large environment with multiple servers, you can run the installer in silent mode to allow for installation without user intervention.

For silent installation, you must perform the following tasks:

Encrypting passwords using the BMC Atrium Core Maintenance Tool

You should use an encrypted password in place of the actual AR System server password. Using an encrypted password prevents a disclosure of the actual AR System server password.

Installing BMC Atrium Core in silent mode

Run the installer with the -i silent option.

Installing the BMC Atrium Core Help system in silent mode

Install Help with a silent installation.
