Performance benchmarking results for the Remedy platform and applications

The BMC performance team conducts a series of tests to establish the benchmark for version 19.08 of Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) product suite. The benchmarking test also provides a guideline for sizing and optimal deployment configuration. For realistic simulation of a production environment, all the servers are configured as clustered for high availability (HA), as clustering affects system behaviour related to performance and scalability.

The benchmarking test was conducted for the following products:

  • Remedy IT Service Management (Remedy ITSM)
  • Remedy Smart Reporting
  • BMC Service Request Management
  • BMC Knowledge Management
  • Remedy Single-Sign-On
  • BMC Atrium Configuration Management Database (BMC CMDB)

The results of the benchmark provide the following information:

  1. Quantitative test results for use or as a baseline or reference
  2. A guideline for hardware sizing for a given workload
  3. System configuration recommendations for optimal performance
