Testing the mid tier

To make sure that the mid tier is functioning correctly, verify that you can access the configuration page and one or more forms.

1. To open the home page, enter the following URL:

   http://<hostName>:<port>/arsys/home

   For example, you can enter the following URL:

   http://localhost:8080/arsys/home

2. To open the configuration page, enter the following URL in the BMC Remedy Mid Tier Configuration Tool:

   http://<hostName>:<port>/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp{code}

3. Configure your preference and home page servers.

4. To open forms, enter:

   http://<hostName>:<port>/arsys/forms/<ARSystemServerName>/<formName>/<viewName>

The default ports are:

• 8080 (Tomcat)
• 8989 (Oracle Java System)
• 7001 (WebLogic)
• 9080 (WebSphere)
• 8080 (JBoss)
