Overview of the Maintenance Tool

A separate Maintenance tool is available for each component in the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite. Most common functionalities provided by the different Maintenance Tools are as follows:
- Viewing installation and uninstallation log files using the log viewer .
- Collecting diagnostics in a zip file using the Log Zipper and viewing the Log Zipper output file.
- Running a system health check to validate if all the selected system components are installed successfully.
- Encrypting the password for silent installation.

The functionality provided by each Maintenance Tool varies as per the needs of the component. Some functionalities listed above are not applicable to the Maintenance Tool of a particular component.
