The CREGSYT, CREGSYA and CREGSYM views replace the CREGSYS view. The CREGSYS view displays the same data as CREGSYT.

Related topic

To display detailed information about the IBM CICS region settings related to monitoring and statistics settings, and WLM health attributes, perform one of the following actions:

  • Hyperlink from the Monitoring and Statistics field of the EZCFSSI menu.
  • Enter CREGSYM [target] on the COMMAND line, where target is the specific or generic name of a target CICS region.

The SET command allows you to modify the attributes that are associated with the monitoring and statistics facilities as follows:

  • Monitor recording attributes
    • SMF Data Compression
    • LRT Frequency
  • Monitor options
    • Conversational Tasks
    • Identity Class
    • Transaction Resource Class
    • UOW Syncpoints
  • Monitor limits
    • Maximum DPL Requests
    • Maximum Files
    • Maximum TS Queues
    • URMAP limits
    • Webservices limits
  • Statistics recording attributes
    • Recording Status
    • Recording Interval
    • End Of Day Time
  • Monitoring, statistics facilities, and WLM Health attributes as follows:
    • Adjustment
    • Interval
    • OpenStatus

There are also specific line commands to change some of these values. Press F1 to access the online Help for more information about the equivalent line commands.

Warning

Note

Be sure the field contains exactly the value that you want before pressing Enter to issue the SET command. You must clear the field of any other data to prevent it from being passed as part of the new value.

Commands that set CICS TS Monitor attributes and options

MCS

Set SMF Data Compression to COMPRESS.

MNC

Set SMF Data Compression to NOCOMPRESS.

MVS

Set Conversational Task option CONVERSE.

MNV

Set Conversational Task option NOCONVERSE.

MID

Set Identity Class option IDNTY.

MNI

Set Identity Class option NOIDNTY.

MRS

Set Resource Class option RESRCS.

MNR

Set Resource Class option NORESRCS.

MSP

Set UOW Syncpoint option SYNCPOINT.

MNS

Set UOW Syncpoint option NOSYNCPOINT.

Commands that set CICS TS Statistics recording attributes

SOF

Set Statistics Recording Status to OFF.

SON

Set Statistics Recording Status to ON.

SRC

Perform Statistics RECORD for ALL resources.

SRS

Perform Statistics RECORD and RESETNOW for ALL resources.

SCN Set Statistics, Recording Status, and RECORDNOW option

Depending on the current status switches the recording status from ON to OFF or from OFF to ON, and immediately writes the current statistics.

SSN Set Statistics, Recording Status, and RESETNOW option

Depending on the current status switches the recording status from ON to OFF or from OFF to ON, and resets the statistics to the initial values.

SRN Set Statistics, Recording Status, RECORDNOW, and RESETNOW options

Depending on the current status switches the recording status from ON to OFF or from OFF to ON, and immediately writes the current statistics. Also resets the statistics to the initial values.

Commands that set CICS TS WLMHealth attributes and options

WLC

Set CICS to start decreasing the z/OS WLM health value according to the adjustment value in the specified interval.

WLO

Set CICS to start increasing the z/OS WLM health value according to the adjustment value in the specified interval.

WLI

Set CICS to immediately set the z/OS WLM health value to 0.

CREGSYMZ

To display summarized information about the CICS region settings related to monitoring and statistics settings, enter SUM on the COMMAND line of the CREGSYM view.

CREGSYMD

To display detailed information about the CICS region settings related to monitoring and statistics settings and WLM health attributes, hyperlink from the Mntr Rcd field of the CREGSYM view.

CREGSYSQ

To display the Quick Menu for a specific CICS region, hyperlink from the CICS SYSID field on any of the following views:

  • CREGSYT
  • CREGSYA
  • CREGSYM
  • CREGSYTD
  • CREGSYAD
  • CREGSYMD
