Category	A collection of connected KPI Groups
Exception	A measurement outside of normal functioning parameters that requires immediate action
Ingestion	Reading data, can happen in real time or in playback mode using historical records
KPI	Key Performance Indicator—Measurable statistic that indicates how the system is functioning
Multivariate	Using multiple KPI inputs that may provide multiple outputs
Playback	Running the product on historical data
Project / Projection	Using a linear regression technique to extrapolate a line to a point in the future, to ascertain whether a degrading situation is unfolding
Scoring	Analyzing data and comparing it to a model to see whether it varies from normal
Scoring engine	An environment that allows loading of a trained model to be scored against
Training	Building a mathematical model based on historical data
