BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 12.1

The BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 product combines one of the leading DevOps orchestration tools, Jenkins, with the BMC automated schema change product, CHANGE MANAGER for DB2.

BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 lets you drive services based on IBM z/OS through the plug-in to migrate IBM Db2 schema changes across the z/OS environment.

  • BMC AMI DevOps now lets you create a full-recovery baseline before executing schema changes. When rolling back implemented schema changes by using a full-recovery baseline, you can also restore application data to a recover point.
  • When building a project, you can now run all the build steps in Debug mode. You can enable this feature by adding the AMIDevOpsDebugOn Boolean parameter when configuring the project.
  • When configuring the BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 Authentication build step, in the Plug-in Variables File Path field, you can now enter a String Parameter variable. As the value of the variable, yocan specify the full plug-in variables file path, including the file name, part of the plug-in variables file path, or the plug-in variables file name.
  • When configuring the BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 Schema Change Migration build step, selecting the Generate JCL Only check box now saves the generated JCL in the project workspace folder.

 

12.01.00.0002You can now enter a mainframe password up to 63 characters long. BMC AMI DevOps uses an enhanced encryption/decryption scheme that provides this capability.

Creating a custom PDF

From any page in the space, use the following procedure to create a PDF of either the current page or multiple pages (a parent topic and its child topics):
  1. Go to the branch or topic for which you want to create a PDF.

  2. From the Browse menu in the upper-right, select Export to PDF:

    Notes

    • Although you can export to Microsoft Word, this portal is not optimized for Word exports.
    • If you require an export in XML or HTML format, contact us.
  3. In the Template box, select the PDF style:

    • Simple to export a PDF with no cover, table of contents, or index 
      By default, the Simple template exports only the current page.
    • Standard to export a traditional PDF with a cover, table of contents, and index 
      By default, the Standard template exports the current page and its child pages.
  4. In the Export Scope box, select what you want to export:

      • Only this page to export the current page
      • This page and its children to export an entire section (current page and any child topics)

    Example

    In this example, selecting This page and its children creates a PDF of all topics in the space's "Reference" section:

  5. Click Export.
