Accessing the portal	Explains how users launch the portal.
Accessing the dashboard from the portal	Explains how to launch BladeLogic Dashboard from the portal.
Using Threat Director	Describes how to use Threat Director, a product that helps security and operations personnel identify and correct vulnerabilities in their computing environment. Use of Threat Director requires a separate license.
Using Vulnerability Manager	Describes how to use Vulnerability Manager, an out-of-the-box set of tools for managing vulnerabilities. Vulnerability Manager lets you import vulnerability scan files from scanning tools such as Qualys, map assets in those scans to servers managed in BladeLogic, and map vulnerabilities to BladeLogic remediation content. When mapping is complete, you can launch a wizard that generates operations to remediate vulnerabilities.
Other common use cases for BladeLogic Portal	Provides a high-level description of the actions you can take (along with links to related documentation) for many typical user activities.
Creating, modifying, and managing operations	Provides links to procedures that describe the typical actions needed for creating, managing, and using the results of operations. There are also example procedures for creating a Compliance operation and a Provisioning operation.
Viewing and using results of operations	Describes how to view the results of all types of operations that can be performed in BladeLogic Portal and how to perform corrective actions while viewing some types of results.
Monitoring the status of long-running activities	Describes the capabilities of the Activity Status window, which shows the status of long running actions, such as scan file imports.
Working with inventory	Describes how to use various techniques to search server inventory and then obtain information about particular servers or launch operations on those servers.
