Enabling web services in BMC Server Automation
For BladeLogic Portal to work with BMC Server Automation, you must enable the web services capability on the BMC Server Automation Application Server.
To enable web services
- Log on to the BMC Server Automation Application Server.
- Start the blasadmin utility (also called the Application Server Administration console).
- Run the following command to enable web services:
set AppServer enablewebservices true
- To confirm that web services are enabled (that is, set to True), run the following command:
show AppServer enablewebservices
- Run the following command to enable the Tomcat service:
set AppServer enabletomcatservice true
- To confirm that the Tomcat service is enabled (that is, set to True), run the following command:
show AppServer enabletomcatservice
- Restart the BMC Server Automation Application Server.
