Customizing the portal's appearance (branding)

The portal provides the following options for customizing the appearance of the interface:

The following procedures cannot be performed on Internet Explorer 9 and earlier versions.

If you want to use a custom logo, BMC recommends an image with the following dimensions:

Width: 258 pixels
Height: 111 pixels

  1. As portal administrator, click the drop-down menu by your user name (at top right). Then, select Administration
  2. Click the Branding tab. 
  3. Under Change Logo, click Browse.
  4. Using the navigation dialog box, select the file for the logo that you want to use.
    The Customization Preview box shows the portal's header with the new logo. 
  5. Click Save.

Use this procedure to reset the logo so the portal displays its default logo. 

  1. As portal administrator, click the drop-down menu by your user name (at top right). Then, select Administration
  2. Click the Branding tab. 
  3. Click Reset Logo.

To change the color scheme

The heading bar at the top of every portal page shows a gradient between two colors: one color at the top of the bar and the other color at the bottom. You can choose colors for the gradient.

  1. As portal administrator, click the drop-down menu by your user name (at top right). Then, select Administration
  2. Click the Branding tab. 
  3. For Header gradient top color, click the colored square.
    A color selection tool opens.

     
  4. Use the color selector to choose a different color.
    The Customization Preview box shows the portal's header with the new color.  

  5. Repeat the process for Header gradient bottom color.
  6. Click Save.

To reset the color scheme

Use this procedure to reset the color scheme to its original appearance. 

  1. As portal administrator, click the drop-down menu by your user name (at top right). Then, select Administration
  2. Click the Branding tab. 
  3. Click Reset color scheme.
